The Bach Connection

Performed by: Geoffrey Lancaster and James Huntingford

Geoffrey Lancaster and James Huntingford revel in the fantastical terrain of eighteenth-century masterpieces for two fortepianos. The musical fare is provided by three members of the circle surrounding JS Bach. WF Bach’s scintillating Concerto in F major, four duets from CPE Bach, and Bach pupil Johann Gottfried Müthel’s monumental Duetto in C major set the scene for a transformative musical journey. Geoffrey Lancaster also plays a solo Fantasia, a Sonata and a Rondo by CPE Bach.

**UPDATE** We regret to announce that Associate Dean Stewart Smith has had to withdraw from this concert due to a hand injury. Taking his place will be James Huntingford, a truly first-class young professional fortepianist and WAAPA graduate
