Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a minimum or maximum age for participants?
No, but as a guideline we suggest that participants be approximately 15 years of age or older. It is a full day of rehearsals aimed at adults and this will simply be too much for younger children.

Do I need to read music?
Not at all. But if you do, there will be some extra challenges available for your enjoyment.

I haven’t sung in public before/for many years/since I was a child, is this right for me?
Absolutely. Mary King is a first-class professional and has run these sorts of workshops with thousands of people from all walks of life and all over the world. You are in good hands, and there will be lots of other people singing with you.

I don’t know if I’m a soprano/alto/tenor/bass/I don’t know what any of these words mean but I like to sing … does this matter?
Not even slightly. We will work out the practical details on the day. The only thing you need to bring is a desire to sing and have a great time!

After registration you will be sent confirmation and further information.

Food and drink

Quality beverages, rolls and salads will be available for purchase from Grindhouse Café, right next to the Spiegeltent, until 3.00pm. If you are bringing food and need to keep it cold, please bring your own cooler bag or small esky.
