Laurie is the Unit Coordinator for Sound Production in the Production and Design department at Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts.

Background

Laurie graduated from WAAPA in 1996 and began his professional audio career freelancing at Revolver Sound Studio, recording many contemporary original music artists and bands. He also freelanced at other studios such as Loop Studio, Poons Head, Satellite Studio, Pinnacle Studio and more, also including live recordings and mobile recordings around the Perth region.

He has also freelanced in Post Production Audio at the ABC and Editel working on television series for international distribution.

Laurie has also worked in radio on a part time basis editing on air adverts and program content.

More recently he has also been involved in Theatre Sound Design.
