Join us for a scaled-back open day at ECU Mount Lawley where future students will be able to meet WAAPA’s amazing faculty, listen to talks from Course Coordinators, ask current students about their WAAPA experience, enjoy concerts, take in a backstage tour of our theatres or watch some rehearsals for the upcoming Dance seasons.
WAAPA and ECU Open Day

In accordance with the latest government advice regarding spatial distancing we will not be able to open up all of our facilities as usual. Instead we will be activating the outdoor amphitheatre, The Edith Spiegeltent and we will carefully manage the backstage tours, talks and Dance showings. You will need to register for these activities and events by using the links below. All of these sessions are free but capacity is strictly limited.

Lecturers representing Aboriginal Performance, Acting, Music Theatre, Performing Arts and Screen Performance will talk about their courses followed by a short Q&A session in The Edith. There will be 4 sessions throughout the day.
Take a a guided tour of WAAPA’s venues; The Enright Studio, Geoff Gibbs Theatre and The Roundhouse Theatre. Each venue has sets, costumes, designs, lighting states on display for the current in-house production seasons of A Chorus Line, The Elephant Man and The Comedy of Errors. Your tour guides will be members of the Production and Design faculty. There will be 10 half hour sessions.
Hear Haydn, Beethoven, Schubert and Chopin on instruments of their time played by Fortepiano students and introduced by Professor Geoffrey Lancaster.
