WAAPA is based in Perth at the Mount Lawley campus of Edith Cowan University. We enjoy national recognition and an international reputation for the quality of our graduates.
We offer full time courses in acting, Aboriginal theatre, arts management, broadcasting, costume, dance, design, lighting, music, music theatre, props & scenery, sound and stage management. It also provides a range of short courses for beginners to professionals, plus training packages for the corporate sector.
Each year students, staff and guest artists collaborate to present over 200 public performances – musicals, opera, contemporary dance, classical ballet, chamber music, jazz, theatre, film, new compositions, recitals, percussion concerts, contemporary music, design exhibitions and more.
WAAPA graduates have careers worldwide and many have become exceptionally well known, eg Hugh Jackman, Lisa McCune, Emma Matthews to name just a few.
