Bachelor of Music (W76)

International students can apply for ECU’s Bachelor of Music (W76) via direct entry, and if successful at audition, will commence their bachelor’s degree at WAAPA in year 1 (Undergraduate). Alternatively, international students can apply for the Bachelor of Music (W76) via the following affiliated pathways, delivered by our partners at Edith Cowan College:

  • Foundation Program (Performing Arts - Music)
The Foundation Program is equivalent to upper secondary school (Year 12) and university foundation programs. It aims to prepare international students for further study into the first year of selected bachelor’s degrees at Edith Cowan University. Upon successful completion of the Foundation Program (Performing Arts – Music) pathway, students will gain direct entry to Year 1 of the Bachelor of Music course (W76) at ECU. For more information, or to apply, visit the Foundation Program (Performing Arts - Music) ECC web page.
  • Diploma of Performing Arts (Music)
The Diploma is designed to prepare students for entry into the music profession. Your studies will include specialist performance classes, individual lessons and participation in ensembles – some classes will be integrated with ECU students. Students who complete the ECC Diploma of Performing Arts (Music) (Year 2) will receive up to 8 units (120 credit points) advanced standing, the equivalent of the first year, in the respective Bachelor degree at ECU. A minimum of 50 percent pass in all units is required for progression to ECU. For more information, or to apply, visit the Diploma of Performing Arts (Music) ECC web page.
