The Bachelor of Performing Arts provides studentswith a broad, coherent knowledge of the performingarts alongside special skills units that explorespecialist knowledge in more depth. This three year,full-time course is underpinned by core performanceand management skills that are necessary to gain professional employment as a contemporaryarts practitioner and to create new employmentopportunities.
The course combines theoretical and technicalknowledge of performance and seeks to unlocklimitations through practical enquiry. It examines theever-evolving nature of contemporary practice andnew approaches to presentation and production.Students will develop critical thinking and creativeproblem-solving skills. Self-directed projects willdevelop confidence in working independently and highlycollaborative group work will develop the ability towork as part of a cohesive team. The third year offersthe opportunity for students to focus in depth on aparticular discipline or area of practice.
