In addition to its academic offerings, WAAPA offers a range of short courses, corporate training and music single study units across a wide range of disciplines. Our short courses are designed to explore a discipline or technique, enhance skills and offer a taste of performance life:
WAAPA’s acting short courses offers the beginner or professional an opportunity to develop and extend their skills and abilities. Uncover new possibilities for yourself and your craft.
WAAPA Dance short courses are designed for young students who are either intending to pursue dance as a career or who simply love to dance and would like to continue to improve their dance skills.
WAAPA’s fun, hands-on music courses offer something for everyone, from students keen to develop their musicality to adults wanting to discover the basics of vocal jazz performance, there is a workshop for you.
The Junior Academy program is designed specifically for young people who have a passion for performing.
WAAPA’s Music department offers a range of short (single study) non-award courses (therefore cannot be used as credit in any WAAPA academic course), and are open to the general public aged 15 and over.
Our Summer School provides tutors who are experienced industry professionals. They will also create an environment that fosters creativity, discovery and lots of fun.
