WAAPA’s Classical Performance - Vocal course trains students for a career as an opera singer and recitalist. You will be guided by teachers who have performed on the stages of the world, who can teach you not only how to sing, but also how to perform. This course teaches students the art of communication through music, using the most personal instrument of all – the voice.

WAAPA offers a one-year Diploma of Music that introduces you to the world of WAAPA, and is a great place to begin learning musicianship and vocal technique.

The Bachelor of Music is a rigorous, four-year degree qualification that trains students in the correct technique for singing, with specialist classes in acting, languages, aural skills and the history of music. Students receive individual lessons, attend specialist performance classes, work with outstanding guest artists, and participate in a large range of ensembles, fully-staged operas, oratorios, choruses and concerts, with repertoire ranging from the Baroque through to 21st century music. There are opportunities to work with a full orchestra and to build a folio of pieces for recitals.

Attaining a Bachelor of Music degree at WAAPA will gain you the respect of the music industry throughout the world. WAAPA is an inspirational, exciting and supportive place to grow your talent, and find your career path as a singer.
