Massed Sax Festival - Day One

Day One: Clinics, Competitions, Concerts, Masterclasses

Celebrating the 10th Anniversary of this event, come enjoy the first day of the Massed sax rehearsals, free concert, specialised jazz and classical sax workshops to help you get the most out of your playing. For the first time, we will also be featuring the first Baritone saxophone ensemble! While you’re there, learn tips for injury prevention, and find out the winner of inaugural WAAPA Sax Composition Competition for sax composers (Years 11-12). The winning composition will be featured in the Massed Sax concert on Sun 26 May! If you’ve been playing the sax for 2 years or more, come join in the Massed Sax Orchestra. We also welcome non-playing participants who want to be amongst other sax players and enjoy the day’s events. The day will be capped off by a Saxophone Gala Concert featuring the outstanding WAAPA staff and students.
