Over three days, you'll work alongside WAAPA's acclaimed jazz lecturers and special guest artists as you explore the skills that bring this dynamic musical genre to life. From improvisation and ensemble playing to composing and arranging, you'll gain hands-on experience in the collaborative world of jazz performance.
Develop your confidence as a musician and deepen your understanding of rhythm, harmony, and musical communication. Working in small ensembles, you'll rehearse, create, and perform alongside fellow young musicians who share your passion for music.
This course offers an exciting opportunity to learn from some of Australia's leading jazz educators.
The course concludes with a concert on the final afternoon, where you'll take to the stage and share your work with family and friends in a celebration of everything JAZZ.
