Contemporary Music Winter School

Come and join us at WAAPA in the July school holidays and immerse yourself in three days of contemporary music making. You will take part in instrumental workshops, ensemble playing, and get a taste of music production run by WAAPA’s internationally renowned lecturers. Students will learn instrumental technique, repertoire, music production and the ‘ins and outs’ of ensemble playing, culminating in a concert on the final day.

This 3-day intensive course will include:

  • Workshops each morning exploring a range of topics specific to your instrument
  • Ensemble rehearsals in the afternoon with a band on set repertoire
  • An introductory session to music production/DAW recording to give you basic skills to record at home
  • A band performance at the end of the course for your family, friends and peers.
