Acting for Camera

What does it take to perform a role on screen? WAAPA’s Acting for Camera class will teach you!

Develop your screen acting skills by learning techniques for close-up shots, affecting your scene partner and connecting to an authentic emotional truth. Students are introduced to the vocabulary of filmmaking for actors using scenes and monologues from a range of engaging film scripts. Learn about the audition process and how to film a self-test.

Test your acting and film making skills on the final day with our special One Shot Wonders project! Invite your family and friends to see your work on the big screen.

Dates: 8 – 12 January 2024
Time: 10.00am – 4.00pm
Age: High School Students
Cost: Full $640 / *Earlybird $610

Cancellations and refunds

Please choose your course carefully as full refunds will only be given if a course has been cancelled. In the case of illness, a refund will be offered upon presentation of a valid medical certificate within 7 days of the course end date (an administration charge of 15% of the total course fee will apply).
